Out of Office part deux
Back in June, I was bitching and moaning about how the Out of Office Assistant is implemented in Outlook 2003. Basically, you have to be online to switch it on. No setting it up in advance, with a date range specified for when you will be out of the office. A comment came back from Jurgen, that referenced how WM6 and Exchange 2007 will allow you to set the Out of Office feature from your WM6 mobile phone. However, that requires upgrades and does not help, if you are using an iPhone.Well, it turns out, that using OMA (Outlook Mobile Access) against Exchange 2003, allows you to set OOO too. So, with no upgrades required I can still set OOO from my phone, today, now and not next year! Good Stuff. The UI sucks, but it does work!
