Nokia to acquire Intellisync!

Wow - this is news to us!  We use Intellisync to manage our cellular pda and smarphones. They have a good product, which does reasonably well at enabling the diverse mobile phone and pda's out there.  They have always been platform-independent and device agnostic, which is one of the main reasons we picked them.

Nokia have announced a few alliances over the last year, most noteably with Microsoft to license their ActiveSync technology.

So where will this head?  Will Nokia just take the best bits and make them work on Nokia devices or maintain the current model of supporting almost all devices out there?

The former would be bad for us at FMC,  I hope to hear some re-assuring words from Intellisync soon, especially as we just renewed our maintenace with them!
