Milking more out of the Treo 650
For the last year I have been using the Treo 650, and overall, I am very pleased with it. Mine is the GSM/GPRS version, so it works just as well (if not better) across the pond as it does here in Philadelphia. It has reliably provided me with all the usual PDA features, synchs with my Notes email, calendars, contacts, saved me a phew [sic] times with it's web browser features (Mapquest in particular when I am lost!) and phones numbers courtesy of Google.
However, I am now only just taking advantage of the in-built RealPlayer for music and PodCasts. Having just bought (and been very impressed with) an iPod for my wife for Christmas, I felt I would like some music to-go too. So, I just sprung the required $10 and bought the stereo headphone adapter for it. (cheaper than another iPod!) The RealPlayer software is not as sexy or feature rich as the iPod's, but it shuffles, repeats and plays (good enough).
So now, I have music wherever I go, and am not carrying another gadget. For those of you, with a Treo 650 and no other MP3 player, I can highly recommend it!
Lastly, to milk it even more, get yourself a Bluetooth headset too!
