Well, Google have finally entered the blog search arena.  It looks and behaves a lot like the usual Google search, but does not include the richness of content that Technorati offers.  However, unlike Technorati, it is blazingly fast!

This is the first time that Google have released a tool that specifically targets blogs.  You can see who is linking to who by using the link: command, which will display a full list sites linking to a blog or specific post.

Unlike Technorati, Google does not offer any way of subscribing for your blog to be indexed, but relies on you blog to regularly, notify the popular blog pingservers.  So you know what you need to do, to be included!

I can only begin to imagine the dents in Steve Ballmer's office walls now, as Google have beaten Microsoft out of the gate again!
