Awesome!

I just took delivery of this little  last week...


It is a thing of beauty.  I got it hooked up very easily and quickly and was instantly impressed.

Even DVDs (now non-interlaced) look great.  Just seeing it on a larger screen is great.  Even the surround sound sounds better!!

However, the real wow, came when I grabbed the internal antenna from the spare TV and plugged it in.  Then I set the TV to scan for over the air broadcasts.  After a few minutes it was done.  The majority of all the local channels (CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX, UPN) all came in beautifully.  You just have to love digital broadcasts - you either get them or you don't - and I get them!  I only live about 4 miles from the broadcast towers so the reception is pretty good.  I think with a proper external antenna the signal strength will be improved and I will get PBS too.  Then I get to cancel my satellite local channel subscription.

Tonight was the first real chance I have had to watch broadcast TV in HD.  WOW. It was just 'House', but it looked fantastic, even if it was broadcast at only 720.  Perfect picture quality
