Skype adding 130,000 registered users a day!

I have only been using Skype for a short time, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to appreciate the impact of the size of their user base and the potential disruption they are going to cause (are currently causing)

I just came across this article in the Seattle Times and am amazed at how many new users are signing up every day.  Whenever I connect, I see about 2.7 million connected users, which is always a staggering number.

With a user base of this size, they carry a lot of clout, and it will be interesting to see how the communications biggies respond (including AOL and MSN)
