IBM confirm that Sametime is not compatible with Sun JVM 1.5.x

We opened a support ticket with IBM recently, and they have now confirmed that Sametime 6.x and 7.x does not support the Sun JVM 1.5.x.

If you (or your users) download the latest version, then they will not be able to attend Sametime meetings, or even use the Java name picker in the Meeting Centre!

After fighting through the MS v Sun Java debacle with Sametime, this is somewhat disappointing.  It is only a matter of time before this later version becomes the norm, and Sametime will cease to work properly.

I really think this type of thing warrants a fix pack asap!
