Death of RSS

No sooner than Microsoft gets RSS religion, and decides to embed it all over Windows Vista, then they move to kill rebrand it.

From this day forth RSS shall now be known as Web Feeds!

As they try to justify the branding, they comment that they will be adding their own functionality to RSS.  What this functionality is though, remains to be seen.  I would be more worried about the RSS standard being hijacked, than what hey choose to call it though.

Time will tell...
