Is Collaboration, IT´s last chance to matter?
Collaborative technologies are being sold as IT infrastructureIT delivers most collaborative technologies in companies today
Should it be an owner or operator of collaborative technologies
- Technologies that require IT assistance of any sort, will have limited impact
- Collaboration requires interaction with the outside world
- If IT takes control of collaboration, does that imply they are taking control of business processes
- No standards to support cross product support of collaborative processes (no SMTP for collaboration)
- Deciding how to build the right team to support a collaborative environment is key
- Web based collaboration tools take more effort to integrate with the existing client side products. Rich client v thin client (features and functions)
What are the keys to successfully deploying collaborative technologies?
Could of been a great debate, but the @@@@ audio sucked
