Not a great anniversary, but at least I am pretty mobile now. <item><title>Achilles Tendon update</title><pubDate>Thu, 20 Jul 2006 10:14:28 -0400</pubDate><description><![CDATA[ I got the MRI results last Friday, and they confirmed that my tendon is fully ruptured and surgery will be required.

My appointment with the Orthopaedic Surgeon was yesterday - but only just. They did try to bump me back to next Monday due to the surgeon unexpectedly being in the OR all day. But after some earnest discussions with the receptionist she was able to squeeze me later in the afternoon.

Whilst running up some steps, to catch the train on Friday morning, I heard my Achilles tendon pop - yes I really heard it! Quickly followed by unbelievable pain.
